Agreements...Fuk your agreements!
"He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." - Friedrich Nietzsche, 'Beyond Good and Evil'
Agreement - "harmony or accordance in opinion or feeling; a position or result of agreeing."
I really didn't have much of a 'father figure' or a father for that matter. So I suppose I found father figures (more importantly men to emulate) where I could find them...most readily on the television. When I was growing up I had many of these father figures some of them fictitious, some of them real...the real ones were men who shook the history books...men of power...like Alexander 'The Great', Genghis Khan, Andrew Carnegie, and Sun Tzu.
But before all that, I had a Hero...somebody I looked up to, I liked the way he handle himself and I wanted to model this man, not for the power he possessed but because of his 'internal conflict' (it would seem I have always been a student of this XOR model)...let's take a look at him shall we??? Call him what you want (most would call him a villain), but he was efficient & effective, meticulous & menacing, a real Draconian...lets see more deal making here!! Hahahahahahahahahaahaha...what a ruthless fuck...I Like It!
Take the title picture of this page ...does it look like I agree or even plan to agree with your harmonious agreements....because I do not. I agree to being "Mercenary and Self-Serving," I agree to "A - (Fuck You) - Type Personality" in a world of conflicting and competing systems, I also agree to get a 'handful of these titties here,' and oh wait lets not forget "Money Over Bitche$$$" always! Hahahahahahahaha...and Fuk U!
Anyway, "The Sorcerer's Revolution" states: "We honor NO AGREEMENTS in which we had NO PARTICIPATION." Take a moment and digest that statement for what it really is. Think of how much in life you really decide upon, what was decided for you, and what was forced down your throat for lack of available alternative. What we are talking about is "Social Programming & Engineering." Accepting "this idea' and 'refusing that idea' in order to find and occupy our little itty bitty titty place to suckle & ween life from.
How many people in The United States actually consensually agreed to PAY TAXES?? You don't have to think hard about it, no one has agreed to pay taxes by explicit consent...only by implied consent. This is a perfect example of an AGREEMENT (which concerns my person and being) in which I had no PARTICIPATION. So contractually speaking...the contract is VOID, since contract law state that both parties must agree on terms, both parties must be competent, and most importantly the parties involved must have mutual intent to be bound.
When Don Juan was talking about AGREEMENTS, he wasn't speaking about TAXES....NO, NO. He was clearly talking about DEATH. Not Death Eternal, but this Physical Death that causes dread in the hearts of men. He believed, and I believe along with him that life is a proving grounds of sorts, a battlefield to train and temper "men of knowledge" and "warriors who see."
An excerpt from "Jouney to Ixtlan" elucidates "The Very First Agreement,"...A Vanguard of Sorts,...The Introduction and Induction into "The" World:
"He pointed out that everyone who comes into contact with a child is a teacher who incessantly describes the world to him, until the moment when the child is capable of perceiving the world as it is described. According to don Juan, we have no memory of that portentous moment, simply because none of us could possibly have had any point of reference to compare it to anything else. From that moment on, however, the child is a member. He knows the description of the world; and his membership becomes fullfledged, I suppose, when he is capable of making all the proper perceptual interpretations which, by conforming to that description, validate it." (Castaneda, Introduction, pg 2)
Mankind is aware of it's own predicament, but you deny the truth that is and prefer to be entertained by fantastical ideas that reflect the truth in front of you:
These two very "popular" movie clips and two "underground hip hop" tracks reflect two ever present theme in the midst of every human psyche...regardless of origin or privilege. The First of those themes is "Defiance" and the second is "Escape" or more appropriately "Freedom."
(From "The Law of Success" pg. 89)
If you watched or listened to any of the above links then you more than likely identified with the current situation of mankind, which is an overwhelming feeling of being trapped. You may begin to pity yourself and feel saddened about your situation. Doubt the validity of these statement?? Go find a drug addict and ask him "why does he take harmful drugs knowing full well that they may kill him/her? The answer no matter how many various ways they may explain it, basically comes down to, "I just wanted to get away (escape)."
That presents an interesting set of questions. Is there something wrong with people in general, in that so many feel the need to escape; or the more troubling, is there something wrong with the system or environment to the fact that is produces so many unhappy and unhealthy people??
Upon this revelation of mental imprisonment most people will feel solitude, fear and self pity. You are not alone. Fear is function of linear thought (personal history) and you exist only in the present as you have all of your life. So "Self Pity" is your true adversary and "Self Pity"is merely "The Shadow of Self Importance." You see it is your need to uniquely identify yourself that has fragmented you from the collective...your unchecked "Self Serving All Important Human Ego" has allowed the powers that be to build a bubble like prison around all of its members...but the good news is this: Your Membership can be revoked at your own will and volition.
"Passivity", he said, "is a violation of our nature, because, in essence, we are all formidable combatants. Every human being is, by right, a soldier who has achieved his place in the world in a battle of life and death" (Torres)
Now I'm am by no means here to promote violence, but I am also not going to pretend that human beings are not violent creatures by nature or more correctly by environmental stimuli. On this topic of violence due to struggle, Adolph Hitler may have stated it best: "Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live."
Now allow me to ask you a question? Do you think that because of the age we live in and the comforts we enjoy in this modern age that the sense of struggle no longer applies to us? Then who is us? To which fragment of society do you belong to? Now you should see clearly the struggle and the problem. There is no whole unified collective of us, never has been, probably never will be...not without drastic changes in our social protocols. As long as there are the few who are privileged, there will always be the disenfranchised many. As long as you agree to being disenfranchised ,whether through active or passive agreement, then you will be. Believe you from me, if you are not actively making decision/opinions for yourself about your life and the world you exist in, then the world at large is making decisions for you and deciding what your place is. Slave or warrior...those soon will be your only choices.
I defiantly pissed in the face of slavery and vehemently choose warrior...began the ordeal of splitting my awareness into pieces that would liquidate and assimilate each other in an internal battle for supremacy. I slowly but surely removed most of my tethers to this world and sent them out into the Cosmos until I found "The Black." I have returned from "The Black" and I have taken up the name of my 'Other'...."Ruinous Smoke" or "The Smoke of Ruin"
To cultivate The Other requires that one gets used to being alone and eventually death, because that is exactly what you will face as you begin the process of revoking your membership. Descriptions of "The World" are very much like women...they are very envious and jealous and would chose total separation over playing second best. LOL this is why we "warriors who see" say that "The Universe at Large"is Feminine in Nature. As the separation begins, awareness begins to realign and you won't feel that sense of belonging that comforted you before. You will not experience the same sense of kinship you felt amongst your peers...I know it sounds scary doesn't it...because it is. That is why the first abstract opponent to the warrior is "Fear."
"If nation can build soldiers of war to order, by bending the minds of their young in direction of war, business men can build customers to order through the same principle." (Hill, The Law of Success, Lesson 14: Tolerance)
